"Wee Eassie" Pictish Stone Candle
Found in the Eassie Burn in the late 18th century, the ancient Eassie Stone dates back to the mid 8th century AD. Double sided and carved in relief the stone is a particularly beautiful example of a Pictish Stone. On one side a large cross is heavily decorated with knotwork. In the top two quadrants are eroded Pictish angels. In the bottom right quadrant there is a cloaked warrior, and to the left there are some animals including a stag. The opposite side of the stone has more damage but still clearly depicts three cloaked warriors and some cattle. To the top there is a Pictish beast and some Pictish symbols throughout.
While the original stone stands at 6 feet 8 inches tall, the Wee Eassie Pictish candle is not so large, standing at 16cm tall. Small and mighty, the Wee Eassie is hand carved in miniature, cast in beeswax and scented with shortbread.
★ Scent Profile ★
Top notes of vanilla. Heart notes of nutmeg. Base notes of caramel.
★
The Wee Eassie weighs in at 208g and is made from a beeswax & coconut wax blend. Standing at 16cm tall including the wick, which is made from braided cotton.
The Wee Eassie is 100% handmade in Scotland, cast from handmade moulds of my original hand sculpted designs.
