The Burryman Candle
Covered from head to toe in prickly burrs, The Burryman marches his ancient, annual procession. Taking place in the town of South Queensferry, Scotland, The Burryman will walk over 9 miles fuelled only by whisky.
As to why..it may be forgotten. First recorded in 1687 although thought to be much older, there are many theories as to the origin of this ancient custom. Pagan ritual, harvest celebration, or maybe even sacrificial victim. Perhaps he is simply, 'a man from the burgh.'
Light your very own ‘Wee Burryman’ candle in homage to the ancient Scottish tradition. Scented with whisky (of course.)
★ Scent Profile ★
Top notes of vanilla and chocolate. Heart notes of whisky. Base notes of peat.
★
The Burryman weighs in at 205g and is made from a beeswax & coconut wax blend. He stands at 16cm tall including the wick, which is made from braided cotton.
The Burryman is 100% handmade in Scotland, cast from handmade moulds of my original hand sculpted designs.
